WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

I'm usually pretty calm, cool, and collected. At work that is. I moved into an apartment closer to work after my brothers practically drove me out of the house with their antics. I couldn't take it anymore. I'm a caring, nurturing person, and I love to take care of people. Yes even my little brothers when they are hurt or sick. I feel a sense of pride and purpose in what I do.

My name is Camdyn Carmelita Falcon. I was first born to Cavalier and Carmelita Falcon, and was the only girl born to them. I'm the eldest of eight children born to their union. I was their first for everything so by their second child, my brother Carlos, they were more prepared. With me I was told it was a lot of sleepless nights and holding me trying to get me to stop crying. My mother and Aunt Solstice didn't really get along, and still don't so she was no help. My Aunt Marisol and Uncle Rafael were in the same boat as my parents as my cousin Gunner and I were born within months of one another.
I was two when my brother Carlos was born. Mom said I wanted to play with him like he was my doll, but she told me that wasn't allowed and that I had to be very careful with my baby brother. I could only hold him if her or dad were there to help me. So I also took it that no one could hold him if mom and dad weren't there. So one day when Aunt Solstice went to pick him up I started kicking at her, and screaming for her not to touch him. Mom had showed up just in time to see everything. When my Aunt advanced on me mom stepped between us, and wouldn't let her near me. Her screaming brought my dad and Uncle Cobalt. Both of them were trying to hide their laughter, but my dad couldn't stop it. My aunt had let out a huff and left then.
As I grew older I realized my Aunt Solstice couldn't tell my father and my Uncle Cobalt apart. Yeah they were twins, but they were as different as night and day. Even as a little girl I knew which one was my dad and which one was my uncle. I sat there and gaped as she came up and just kissed dad one day. When he pushed her away she had just huffed and told him he'd be in trouble when she got him home. My uncle had seen the whole thing and laughed about it. Dad got after him and asked him how he could stand her. I didn't understand what he said to my dad so I can't remember what he had said. It wasn't the only time I witnessed her doing something like that to my dad. It was funny when mom would see and she would grab a wooden spoon and chase after my aunt cursing in the Shoshone language that I couldn't understand. If my Aunt Marisol would witness it when she was around she would just roll her eyes at her brothers and sister in laws. I heard my Uncle Rafael mutter to my Aunt Marisol that he was glad he wasn't a twin.
I got a mini bike when I turned four. Dad was having fun teaching me how to ride the bike. Dad had been giving me rides on his bike since I was old enough to sit in front of him on the bike. I was the only Falcon girl for six years till Stella was born, but then she was a Consuelos too. It was another year before Skyler was born. Us girls with Falcon blood were pretty outnumbered by the male members of the family. The boys liked to goad me that since I was a girl they could ride better than me, and beat me in a race. Well one day I took that bet going up against the boys and they ate their words with dust. Dad was laughing and cheering me on! They learned to never underestimate a girl sharing their blood.
When I graduated to a dirt bike I was more than excited. I was really able to make the boys eat my dust now. Much to their dismay. Though when it came to race time in Motocross they were my biggest supporters and cheerers! Hearing their voices above others in encouragement. My best friend was my cousin Gunner, and we had lots of fun out there on the track! If we ended up in the same heat we'd work together shutting the competition out and sometimes tying unless one of us inched out in front of the other. Which we never let the other win on purpose. It was on our own terms.
Another of my best friends was Zevran Silverling. His mom was a Deveraux, and his dad was a member of the Wild Wolves. He was in my class, but he'd been homeschooled before his parents had been murdered. His parents had been Zoologists and traveled frequently for their job. So instead of leaving their boys behind they took them with them. Homeschooling them, and they got to learn about their parent's jobs that Zev would talk about when they'd be home for holidays and other things.
Starting junior high I went out for sports, and loved playing them. I wasn't much for running, but added in with other stuff it wasn't too bad. I didn't think I was the cheerleader type, but after a dare from the guys I tried out making the team. It didn't turn out so bad, and I was out there on Friday night lights cheering the boys on. This continued in high school as well. I was a cheerleader, and played basketball and volleyball. As well as hockey which was a rougher sport that I loved. Guess it came with growing up the oldest with all brothers. Not to mention my friends were all mainly boys. Even if a few of them were gay.
My cousin Gunner came out of the closet as gay when we were fifteen. As if we didn't already know. Well me that is. I think our older cousins were a bit shocked, but they got over it quick and accepted it. His parents had already picked up on the clues, and they took it easily enough. It was the peer pressure he had to worry about. It wasn't long before his boyfriend came out of the closet too. Clinton Wainwright. The rest of that is their story to tell. They were my best friends though and I supported them, and stood by their side.
It was eighth grade year that Zev and I started dating. My cousins and brothers had ran off all boys before, but they loved Zev thankfully. We messed around before we were sixteen, but it wasn't till we were sixteen that we made love for the first time. It was under the stars on the fourth of July so I literally saw stars. It was well worth the wait. One night that was special, and that I will never forget. Zev lived with his aunt and uncle the Swansons so more often than not we ended up with his cousins the Swanson girls who were of course dating my own Falcon cousins.
Graduation came and we had a big celebration at Falcon's Roost. Zev was prospecting to the Wild Wolves so he was busy prospecting quite a bit, but we still found time to get together. I started summer school wanting to get my nursing degree over and done with. I also took the EMT course getting certified so I was about to work as a Medic for the High Mountain Rangers. Four years later I had a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree graduating near the top of my class.
After that I got a job working at the hospital as a registered nurse, and worked part time as High Mountain Ranger medic. Both of them were challenging and rewarding. Stressful as well, but I loved helping people and doing good. When I was twenty I moved out of Falcon's Roost as my younger brothers were driving me crazy. I got a cute little apartment that Zev spent most of his time there with me. It was a special place at least to me for us. We did have a few parties now and then with our friends as well as family.
I'm twenty-five now. Still working at the hospital and as a part time High Mountain Ranger medic. I love the little life I've created with Zev. We did move to a bigger place so there was another bedroom so that Zane could move in with us if he wanted. I didn't mind at all as close as Zev and Zane were. There were nights he spent at the clubhouse, but was at our place more often than not. Things have been up and down this year losing people that we loved and having good times in between. Life goes on no matter what, and I wouldn't trade my life for anything.

Rayne sat away from the others somewhat. As it seemed like everyone was paired off but for him. Or they were with their friends. They’d been back from Sturgis for only a few days, and his dad, Rowdy, and Cain were throwing a bash at their place to try and take off some of the stress from what the trip had been. The Oklahoma boys and his dad, and Cain were taking turns getting up on the stage and singing. Oh and even Clyde had gotten up and sang. Their kids called out songs for them to sing, and they’d pick one from one of them. Of course his dad hadn’t asked him. It was mainly his baby brothers and once in a while Rafe or Ryder would yell out one.
Sturgis hadn’t really been any fun and he and his brothers had never gotten that tattoo that he designed. With all hell breaking loose everyone was on high alert the next week so his father and brothers had forgotten about it. He’d slept off and on that next week after what had happened to him. At least the stitches had gotten taken out finally so he didn’t have that discomfort. Though it still aches some, and Stephanie had said it probably would for some time as hard as he had been hit. It itched and bothered him, but he refrained from messing with it not wanting to get it infected as it was healing. The bruises were still there, but not as bad as they had been.
His dad’s attention today was either on Rosanna or his baby brothers most of the time. Feeling tired and left out he got up to head inside to his room. Rafe and Ryder’s attention was on their new found girlfriends. His gaze fell on Athena then who was talking to some of the other kids in the Jr Club, and there were a couple of guys that she was laughing and having fun with. He felt a pang in his heart, and weaved in and out of people to head inside. A stray tear ran down his cheek as he got inside, and he quickly brushed it away. He hissed in his breath at the pain when he had forgotten a moment about his wound. With a deep breath he headed up the stairs when he came up on them.
It wasn’t that much of a walk down the hallway to his room. The pounding of the music and the roar of the crowd outside was inside the house too, and it was giving him a headache. So all he wanted to do was lay down and take a nap. Opening his door a sound caught his attention. Looking up he gasped as there were a couple of guys in the room with their girls having fun on his bed as well as Simon’s bed. He gaped in shock for a few moments, before turning bright red not knowing what to do. He jumped when one of them yelled at him to get out. Quickly he ducked out his head pounding even more and realized then that he wasn’t alone upstairs as he saw others in the hallways too.
Looking up and down the hallways he noticed people going in and out of the theater rooms too. Walking down to his dad’s room he thought he might find some relief in there, but his dad must have locked his door. He tried Rowdy’s and Cain’s finding both of them locked. There was nowhere to go he realized, and he headed back down stairs trying not to cry. That wouldn’t look good in front of the sons around. There was a lot that he had no idea who they were. Including the ones that had been in his room having fun. Feeling lost and really left out he turned at the stairs and a drunk son knocked into him knocking him down. He saw stars when his head hit the corner of a baseboard. Laughter was heard, and then they ignored him. Sitting up he held his hand to his head, and when he pulled away there was blood on his head.
He cringed as his head was killing him even more now. Pulling himself up he hears something crash and shatter somewhere. His vision was a little blurry now, and he felt the blood trickling down his forehead. There had to be somewhere that he could go, and he thought of the garage. Making his way down that way he put the code into the door knowing it had been locked up for the party. His dad was taking any chances with his panhead with someone messing with it. Once the door shut behind him the sound was suddenly gone as the garage seemed to be soundproof. His ears were ringing though from the never ending sound from before.
With an unsteady breath he made his way over to his bike not even fighting the tears now. Sitting on it he laid his head down against the cool gas tank and the sobs came unable to stop them. He wasn’t feeling good at all, and when he lifted his head a while later there was a lot of blood on his bike. Had to be from where he had hit his head. A ride might help him feel better was his thoughts, and he got off pushing his bike out a side door, and around some bikes getting on his bike after making sure the garage was locked back up. If it wasn’t his dad, Rowdy, and Cain not to mention the others with bikes in there would kill him.
Starting his bike he rode down the driveway with the guards not even looking twice at him as there were sons and jr club members coming right and left. Tears were still streaming down his cheeks and there was still blood trickling down so his vision was still a bit blurred. Right now he didn’t care, he just had to get away, and hopefully clear his head. His dad and brothers as well as the others would probably never even notice he was gone. They were having too much fun. A while later he realized that the ride wasn’t helping, and he stopped not even knowing where he was. He hadn’t been this way yet. Only the other direction into town. The throbbing in his head was even worse, and all he wanted was his dad right now.
Turning his bike around he tried to wipe the tears away and the blood, but it wasn’t helping much. With a deep breath he headed back. With his vision obscured, he didn’t see the cloud of dust coming down a dirt road not far away. When he turned on the next road thinking he was going in the right direction the car came out of nowhere. Unable to stop he ran right into it, and he was suddenly flying through the air. The impact of hitting the road knocked him out.
